Unwanted/Change Of Mind
Our unwanted items refund and return policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have passed since your delivery, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange. If your item was not sent via a proof of delivery service, we will assume delivery was 2 days after the completion of the order. (Orders are marked as complete after the item is dropped off at the Post Office/Parcel Shop)
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
We do not refund shipping fees on Unwanted/Change Of Mind orders.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned:
- Gift cards
- Glues and Adhesives
To complete your return, we require a receipt, proof of purchase or order number.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Faulty Items
The majority of items come with a 1-year warranty, other than batteries that are only 30 days.

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 3 days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.
Exchanges
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your exchange.
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. You can exchange the item for the same item, or at our discrestion, a different item, with either a refund or extra payment being taken for the difference.
Gifts
Items can only be returned by the original purchaser. The original purchaser is denoted by the name and email on the original order.
Shipping Fee Refunds
We do not refund shipping fees on Unwanted/Change Of Mind orders.
We do refund shipping fees if you are receiving a full refund of an order due to Damage or Faulty Items.
We may offer a Partial Refund of shipping fees if only some items of your order are being returned due to damage or faulty items, or if a faster mode of shipping was chosen but the damage/fault means a usable item won’t be delivered until later. PARTIAL REFUNDS OF SHIPPING FEES ARE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF DERBYSHIRE DRONES.
Shipping Your Return To Us
To return your product, you should contact us, so we can look into the best options for you to return the item.
If the basis of your return is Unwanted/Change Of Mind, You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
If the basis of your return is Damaged/Faulty, we will organise one of the following with you:
- For faults that we can confirm via Email/Phone: We will create and pay for a shipping lable for you.
- For faults that we can not confirm until we can inspect the item in person: We will agree a shipping method and price with you to get the item back to us, you will be responsible for paying to ship the item back to us. If/when the return is accepted, we will reimburse you the agreed amount for sending the item back.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
We are humans
I have been a part of Big Retail in the past for many years, we are not that. At our own discrestion and in the right circumstances, we are more than happy to ‘bend’ our returns policy, to help give the best experience to our customers, but that does not mean we will allow ourselves to be taken advantage of. Derbyshire Drones have the final say on if we are going to make an exception to any retrun policy.
